Sculpture TrailArt in the rain forest
Make sure you explore the sculpture trail during your stay at Rainforest Hideaway, about 900 metres of jungle trails where you will find ancient looking sculptures immersed in the world's oldest rain forest.
The vast majority of sculptures have been created by your host Rob, but your other host Aruni has made her contributions too, as well as various visiting artists from many different countries.
Take your time to explore the trails and sit down on the many seats provided to relax and take it all in.
The trails are also open to those not staying in our accommodation, for a small donation.
Anyone visiting the trail is expected to be quiet, and to stop kids from making noise or climbing on sculptures.
Meet Your HostsA bit about the place and who you stay with
Rob originates from the Netherlands and after many travels settled down in the Daintree and established Rainforest Hideaway. In his spare time from running the B&B he creates sculptures which you can see on the trails that wind around the five acre rain forest property.
We enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and thrive on the postive feedback we get from so many. In a world full of boring places to stay we are happy to provide something unique that travellers will remember. This is not just another resort, here you share our solar powered owner-built jungle home, and get to meet the locals.
Aruni originates from Thailand and has also made the Daintree her home. She has created a garden where she grows the ingredients for her Thai cooking and established a massage studio where you can enjoy a traditional Thai massage.
