Rainforest Hideaway B&B

Room 1075

B&B accommodation in the Daintree rain forest
accommodation in cape tribulation

This room is situated in the main house and suits those not adventurous enough to venture out to a cabin in the rainforest, or shower in an open air bathroom.

You have your own private deck overlooking the "olympic size" gold fish pond, a great spot for an evening drink, listening to the frogs and other wildlife. Although there are only two rooms your host thought it would be too boring to number them 1 and 2 so this one has been given the number 1075.

As this room is located in the house next to communal areas it is somewhat less private than the cabin, but with a maximum number of guests of only four you are not likely to be bothered by noise of other guests.

We offer free Wifi from 8 AM to 10 PM in all public areas as well as this room.

bed and breakfast accommodation in the daintree

Features and facilities of room 1075:

Queensize bed with bedside tables of local silky oak timber, handcrafted by your host.

Attached private toilet and shower.

Safe for your valuables.

Private deck overlooking the fishpond.

Thanks to the government stubbornly denying us grid electricity we have to make do with batteries, generator and solar panels.

This means that the list of facilities is not what you would consider standard in the city.

No air-con (but you'll be surprised how cool the rainforest air is), no TV or fridge in room, no hair-dryer, no electric water jug to make coffee.

In summer time a pedestal fan will be placed in your room, and adjustable glass louvres capture natural cooling breezes. All lights are energy-savers, and there is gas to heat your shower and make a coffee in the kitchen.

Room 1075 is conveniently close to the car park, and has a great view over the fish pond.

All accommodation rates include a healthy buffet style continental (uncooked) breakfast, served on the back verandah of the house looking out into the Daintree rainforest, sometimes with cassowaries visiting!

Be prepared to fully escape the real world and any work commitments as in most of Cape Tribulation mobile phones do not work, only out on the point on the Cape or out on the ocean, more info here. But you will still be able to keep in touch with the family back home thanks to our free Wifi.
